Please refer to the HCYA Swim Team Handbook for information regarding team philosophy and procedures.  By joining HCYA Swim Team, members agree to the statements and practices outlined in the team handbook.

All participants in HCYA Swimming must be registered members of Homeschool Christian Youth Association (HCYA).  If the swimmer is not a registered member of HCYA through another HCYA activity or program, then the swimmer must also register with HCYA to provide membership to the organization and insurance for the athlete.  Please register with our swim team first to ensure availability and then register with HCYA (as their fee is nonrefundable). Registration for HCYA is through their website. 

Swimmers are asked to purchase and wear our team suit to all HCYA swim meets.  If our team suit is unable to be worn, then swimmers should wear either a solid black or a solid navy blue suit.  

HCYA Swimming Team Suit:
Our team suit this year & next ('25-'27) is the Arena Maxlife Escape; Color: Navy-Team Navy. Men may choose either the brief or the jammer. Women are asked to select the more modest cut, drop back suit.

Swimmers who achieved TISCA All-State Honors are welcome to order a patch (or patches) through the TISCA website at http://www.tiscaonline.org/.  Please visit the "Forms" tab for a copy of the order form and the "Honors" tab for a complete listing of TISCA All-State Honors. HCYA Swimming is in the Private School (PS) Division.  

Our team does not order letter jackets as a group, nor do we have a designated vendor.  Families wishing to order a jacket may select a vendor of choice. Families have shared good experiences with Mount Olympus Awards; although the site does not offer a preview feature as the customized jacket is built, the company offers a wide selection of customizable patches to reflect the individuality of the student-athlete. The Jacket Shop offers the option to build a jacket with the preview feature; however the customizable patch selection is limited.

When constructing the jacket, HCYA Swimming does not require a design or layout; however, most athletes select a royal blue body with white sleeves and white accents on the buttons, stripes, pockets, etc. If the swimmer chooses to do so, he/she may personalize the left chest with the Varsity chenille letter that is offered with the jacket, and may add a swimmer insert in the letter. The right chest personalization generally includes the swimmer's first name embroidered in a font of choice. Sleeves are generally decorated with a variety of patches, including the numerical graduation year, or customizable patches to reflect the individual's athletic and academic accomplishments. The back is typically personalized with a customized chenille patch featuring the swimmer's last name or the team's name. If the swimmer selects his/her last name, the team name "Warriors" or "HCYA Warriors" may be inserted/embroidered in the tail of the script patch.

Remember that this jacket is a reflection of the individual-- families are encouraged to enjoy building a jacket that best represents their student-athlete!
